RWR Pilot Training offers a variety of fully insured and approved initial training programs designed to suit novice and experienced PA46 pilots alike including initial pilot training for flying the turboprop-powered Meridian aircraft. The standard Meridian program is up to 40 hours over five consecutive days. The piston training program introduces the pilot to the Matrix, Malibu and Mirage aircraft, and it consists of up to 30 hours over four consecutive days. All programs are performance-based. They presume the pilot is rated and current for instrument flight, have at least 500 hours of pilot in command (PIC) time in high-performance aircraft and have reviewed the aircraft flight manual (AFM), although this is not a prerequisite.

Pilots new to PA46 aircraft are often asked by their insurance underwriter to receive additional dual flight instruction consisting of initial operating experience (IOE) from an approved instructor beyond what is normally given in a standard training program. This includes flight planning, weather briefing, pre-flight and post-flight inspections, classroom sessions and impromptu briefings as required up to eight hours per day. |
